How does chemical peels work?
AHAs and BHAs are naturally occurring substances that have been used for centuries to improve the appearance of the skin. Of all the AHAs Glycolic Acid, derived from sugar cane, has the greatest ability to penetrate the skin due to its smaller molecular size. It acts as a “super moisturizer” for the skin and in addition unglues and dislodges dead skin cells from the outer surface of the skin, leaving it fresher and smoother.
What parts of the body can be treated?
Face, hands, neck, décolleté, chest and back.
How many treatments are needed?
An initial course of six treatments will be required and a maximum of twenty.
Is it safe?
The procedure is non-invasive, dermatologist tested and allergy/irritancy tested. Also, it is not tested on animals and is fragrance-free.
Aftercare advice
The skin can appear slightly reddened and may feel warm to the touch. Avoid sun exposure and vigorous exercise for 24-48 hours after treatment and use recommended homecare products.
